🔴 LIVE: P.V. Anwar Booked in Phone Tapping Case | Malappuram Police Action After HC Intervention | Deals Kerala

Trinamool Congress leader and former MLA P.V. Anwar has been booked by the Malappuram Police in connection with a telephone tapping case, following a complaint filed by Murukesh Narendran, a resident of Kollam. The case comes after Anwar’s public statement on September 1, 2024, where he revealed that some officials' phones were being tapped.

Murukesh, known for filing multiple complaints against Anwar, suspected that his phone might have been tapped too. Initially, the police refused to take action citing lack of evidence. However, the Kerala High Court intervened and reminded the police that finding evidence is their responsibility, not the complainant’s. Based on this, the police recorded Murukesh's statement and registered a case under the IT Act and Telecommunication Act.
