Dear Draco,
You were raised in a world of power and privilege, but also of prejudice and control. You were told who to be, how to act, and what to believe. In many ways, your path seemed predetermined, the walls around you closing in before you even had the chance to choose for yourself. That is the legacy you carry. It shapes how you treat people, how you see the world, and how the world sees you.
You’re trying so hard to hold onto the image of strength, to project it in a world where showing weakness can be dangerous.
There were moments when you made bad choices, not out of malice, but out of desperation. You were just a child who sought validation from others. I mean, how could You, a child, stand against forces that seemed immovable? Your Arrogance, your pride, weren’t they all just a mask to protect yourself?
The weight of it must have been crushing you, and I can see how trapped you feel. You’ve been given an impossible choice, one that no one should ever have to face. Betray everything you know and break free of that life, or become what you were raised to be. You try to convince yourself that this is what you want. But it’s not. And I can’t help but wonder: what is behind that mask you put on?
Eventually, the mask shattered, revealing the fear and doubt beneath. It consumed you until all there was left was the real Draco Malfoy" You didn’t try to be a hero. Instead, you stepped back, quietly refusing to be the person they wanted you to be. It wasn’t perfect, and maybe it wasn’t even enough to erase what came before. But it mattered.

Because your story isn’t the story of an evil boy who grew into a villain. It’s the story of someone trapped by fear and expectation, struggling to find his way. It’s the story of someone who made the choice to stop, even when the world around him didn’t leave him many choices at all. Do you now understand the value of your own worth?

I hope you ’ve found a way to heal from the rigid mold you were forced into, from the moment you were born.

Even those who start on the wrong path can make a choice to walk away.
