दिल्ली में अपनी विवादों के लिए फेमस जवाहरलाल नेहरू यूनिवर्सिटी यानी JNU... एक बार फिर चर्चा में है। और इस बार कारण है...धर्म और विचारधारा की ज़मीन पर खड़ा हुआ बड़ा टकराव।
अक्टूबर की इस शाम, जेएनयू कैंपस दुर्गा पूजा के विसर्जन का गवाह बन रहा था, लेकिन जैसे ही जुलूस आगे बढ़ा, वैचारिक लड़ाई ने धार्मिक आस्थाओं पर कब्ज़ा कर लिया... और माहौल बिगड़ ही चला गया। हालांकि इस पूरे प्रकरण में सबसे हाइलाइट में है एबीवीपी और जेएनयू का स्टूडेंट यूनियन...
दरअसल आपको बता दें कि एबीवीपी का कहना है कि वामपंथी छात्र संगठनों—AISA, SFI और DSF—ने न केवल विसर्जन यात्रा को रोका, बल्कि छात्रों के साथ भयंकर मारपीट की और जूते-चप्पल दिखाकर उनका अपमान तक कर दिया.
इस संगठन का दावा है कि ये सब पहले से सोची समझी साजिश थी क्योंकि लेफ्ट संगठनों ने अपना effigy burning program पहले बराक हॉस्टल में तय किया था, लेकिन अचानक उसी जगह शिफ्ट कर दिया गया जहाँ से विसर्जन जुलूस गुजर रहा था।
एबीवीपी का आरोप है—ये कोई इत्तेफाक नहीं बल्कि सोची-समझी चाल थी। और इस चाल के पीछे मंशा थी, धार्मिक आयोजन को बाधित करना और हिंसा भड़काना।
यहाँ तक कि संगठन ने पुराने आरोप भी दोहराए... कि लेफ्ट छात्र पहले भी महिषासुर दिवस जैसे आयोजनों के ज़रिए हिंदू त्योहारों का अपमान करते आए हैं।
दरअसल जेएनयू छात्र संघ यानी JNUSU ने एबीवीपी पर पलटवार कर दिया जिसमें इस छात्र संघ ने एबीवीपी के आरोपों को खारिज किया और कहा—असलियत में जो नफ़रत की राजनीति कर रहे हैं वो खुद एबीवीपी है.
JNUSU का बयान है कि 2 अक्टूबर, यानी महात्मा गांधी की जयंती पर, एबीवीपी ने रावण दहन का आयोजन किया।
और इसमें ‘रावण’ बनाया गया उमर खालिद और शरजील इमाम को।
छात्र संघ का कहना है—क्या ट्रायल का सामना कर रहे छात्रों को प्रतीकात्मक रूप से जलाना, न्याय व्यवस्था का मजाक उड़ाना नहीं है? क्या यह इस्लामोफोबिया और नफ़रत फैलाने की कोशिश नहीं है?

In fact, the ABVP claims that left-wing student organizations—AISA, SFI, and DSF—not only stopped the immersion procession, but also brutally assaulted students and insulted them by throwing shoes and slippers at them. The organization claims that this was a premeditated conspiracy, as the left-wing organizations had originally scheduled their effigy burning program at Barak Hostel, but it was suddenly shifted to the very location where the immersion procession was passing. The ABVP alleges that this was not a coincidence but a deliberate move. The intention behind this move was to disrupt a religious event and incite violence. The organization even reiterated previous allegations that left-wing students have previously disrespected Hindu festivals through events like Mahishasur Day. However, the entire controversy escalated when the other side, JNUSU, completely rejected all of the ABVP's allegations. Indeed, the JNU Students' Union (JNUSU) retaliated against the ABVP, rejecting its allegations and stating that the ones actually engaging in hate politics are the ABVP itself.
JNUSU states that on October 2nd, Mahatma Gandhi's birth anniversary, the ABVP organized a Ravana Dahan And the demonized figures in this "Ravan" were Umar Khalid and Sharjeel Imam.
The student union says, "Isn't the symbolic burning of students facing trial a mockery of the justice system?" Is this not an attempt to spread Islamophobia and hatred?
