How Bad Can Seat Rust Get in a Porsche 944… and Can I Fix It?

This old run-down 944 has some terribly rusty seat rails, and the mounting bolts are pretty toast.
I need to get the seats out to replace the carpets, but that's going to be difficult with the way these rails are right now... lets see how I go.
