Teaching a horse to bow on one knee is a good way to start to teach a horse to teach them to lie down. This develops trust between horse and human.
Again, like most of my videos, it is about getting a horse to give to pressure and not resist pressure, which is their natural instinct. Everything you do with a horse either helps the horse get better or make the horse worse. Look around there are lots of horses called bad or mean, they are made by their CURRENT owner, of course their current owner will blame the last owner or the trainer or some past abuse, but those who know, will know it is the current owner that makes a horse the way it is.
