After putting off my mammogram screening for longer than I had planned, I was shocked when they found invasive ductal cancer in my left breast.
Like most women in their 50’s I’m busy. I'm a wife, mom of three adult kids and grandma of 5 young grandkids.
We had a change in our insurance that resulted in a new doctor that prompted me to get a mammogram screening.
I thought I’d be in and out quickly like I always had been before. But this time it was different.
And this is my story. I hope I’m able to help someone find the courage to move forward in their breast cancer story as well.
