The several thousand people enjoying the Billy Joel tribute group concert by Turnstiles during the Jan. 2 Village of Wellington 30th Anniversary Celebration at the community center amphitheater received a surprise performance by Billy Joel! The Piano man himself! Along with the tribute band Turnstiles, Joel played We Didn't Start the Fire and Big Shot and blew away the crowd. I even got to give him a fist bump as he walked by afterward. What a night! In Palm Beach County during the winter, you truly can rub shoulders with the rich and famous.

Turnstiles Bio - After years of performing with various original projects and cover bands, Tony Monaco decided to form "Stormfront", his first Billy Joel tribute in 1993. While Stormfront played to critical acclaim in the New York Area, their career was cut short when Tony decided to relocate to South Florida. Fifteen years later, Tony decided to enlist some of the finest musicians in South Florida to join with him to once again pay tribute to the man he has so much respect and admiration for, Billy Joel. Never intending to be an impersonator, his focus instead is simply on the music and delivering a faithful and completely live Billy Joel experience to share with others. Turnstiles' renditions of Billy's classic songs are certain to move the casual listener as well as the hard core "Joel fan" to their feet and have them singing along with all the classics. The band also includes Ron Fattorusso, Rob Arenth, John Angelone, Jeff McDonald and Greg Reitano.
