G'day! In this video I restore a vintage Kyosho Raider back to it former glory. I ended up not using the mechanical speed controller as it appears the BEC is not working on it, plus the contacts weren't in great shape. Instead I used a Kyosho ESC.
It has no motor at the moment as the Kyosho Mega motor I fitted was too long and would rub on the body. Being a freshly painted body I figured that's not ideal. So I'll fit a Kyosho LeMans Stock 05 motor later. When painting the body I did a couple of coats using Tamiya PS-2 red, then put a coat on Tamiya PS-1 white of it, then another coat of PS-2 red.
