The Royal Oak Symphony Orchestra is a community orchestra based in Royal Oak, Michigan. It is composed of local non-professional musicians who rehearse and prepare four concerts per season, including a holiday event and a concert featuring winners from its Young Artist Competition. Robert Farnon's brief tone poem is a beautiful evocation of nature, one that struck me as quite special. Special accolades go to the wind soloists who are beguiling in their weaving in and out of the texture.
