St. Peter's Restaurant by the Sea of Galilee is a famous stop for food by Christian pilgrims. Fish, of course, was a staple in the diet of Jesus and his disciples. Simon Peter and Andrew, and James and John, the sons of Zebedee, were all fishermen before being called to follow Jesus. (It is typical in the region for the fish to be served fried, with the head and scales on, although you may choose to order it either "opened" or already filleted and fried.
