Bei Lugano gibt es zwei markante Ausflugsberge. Monte Bre und San Salvatore. Auf beide führen zwei relative alte (aber renovierte) Standseilbahnen. Auf dem San Salvatore bietet sich dem Besucher eine tolle 360 Grad Rundumsicht über den Lago Maggiore und die Umgebung von Lugano.

Near Lugano there are two prominent excursion mountains. Monte Bre and San Salvatore. Two relatively old (but renovated) funiculars lead to both. On San Salvatore, the visitor has a great 360-degree panoramic view of Lake Maggiore and the surroundings of Lugano.
