I wanted a cheap bike with a ton of power for as cheap as possible; with cheap insurance as well. I found a 2006 Triumph Speed Triple 1050 with a charging issue; it met all the criteria for a cheap project bike. Bought it for 3k, and managed to leg it home on a fully charge battery. Replaced the rectifier, and boom - problem solved. the best part is - it only has 2,000 miles! It sat for a while, a few rides here and there throughout its life; it is still on its original 2006 tires lol - i will replace soon. Right now i will replace all tubing bits for this bike as they are old and def leaking small amounts.
