Slokam 37 of Sri Vishnu Sahasranamam
अशोकस्तारणस्तारः शूरः शौरिर्जनेश्वरः ।
अनुकूलः शतावर्तः पद्मी पद्मनिभेक्षणः ॥ ३७॥
ashOkastAraNastAraha shoorah shourirjanEshvaraha |
anukoolah shatAvartaha padmi padmanibhEkshaNaha || 37
ashOkaha - The one who dispels suffering and brings relief.
Affirmation - May I allow the Divine to dispel my suffering and bring relief.
tAraNaha - The one who removes physical and worldly afflictions such as enemies, ailments and the fear because of them.
Affirmation - May I allow the Divine to dispel my inner afflictions, sorrow and attachments.
tAraha - The one who removes the fear inherent in worldly life. The one who helps us cross the ocean of samsara.
Affirmation - May the Divine remove my fear.
shooraha - The one of great prowess in conquering enemies.
Affirmation - May I be blessed with the strength to conquer my inner enemies.
shourihi - The one who is the son of valorous vasudEva
Affirmation - May vAsudEva, the son of valorous vasudEva protect me.
janEshvaraha - The one who is the Lord of all beings that are born.
Affirmation - May I recognise my master.
anukoolaha - The one who, without proclaiming His own supremacy, is available to His devotees.
Affirmation - May I know that the Divine energy is available for me at all times.
shatAvartaha - The one who is the possessor of limitless abundance and ever-expanding divine wealth.
Affirmation - May I not hesitate to ask for anything from that Divine who is abundant and limitless.
padmee - The one who possesses the divine lotus symbolizing His eternal play.
Affirmation - May I accept my roles and responsibilities in the Divine play.
padmanibhEkshaNaha - The one whose sacred eyes are like the lotus flower, whose lotus-like, radiant glances blossom with beauty and remove all weariness.
Affirmation - May the Divine’s radiant glances remove all my weariness.
Seeking forgiveness from the Masters for any mistakes that I may have unknowingly committed.
