Getting Your CPA License - The Process

Oh Hey CPA candidates! Have you finally finished all four parts of the uniform CPA exam? That's amazing, you should celebrate this achievement!!! Once you're done toasting to your accomplishments you may wondering how you actually get your cpa license. Will it just come in the mail? Are there additional steps? Of course there are.

In today's video I will be going over the process of getting your CPA license and the direct next steps once you have passed. Keep in mind that licensing requirements vary by state but generally speaking there are three E's you must meet to get your CPA license. Education (typically 150 credit hours), experience (typically 2080 hours), and of course the exam.

Once you have met all the requirements for your state you will need to apply for your license, the application fee is ~$75. In order to obtain your CPA license, you will need to pass the AICPA Ethics Exam with at least a 90%, provide proof of experience, and sign a CPE acknowledgement form. These requirements could vary by state.
