Back in September of 2024, we installed the ceiling of our log cabin home using 12” tongue and groove boards. We used it everywhere except the master bedroom. In the master bedroom, we used 6” tongue and groove bead side down. You’ll see closer to the end of the video that Gary started putting up some of the smaller beams in the bathrooms (we’ll post a different video of the beams going up in the living room, kitchen, and bedrooms in a later video).
There are always some mistakes made during the construction of a house, and a log cabin home is no different. There was a mistake made in the kitchen during the ceiling installation but you’ll see how we rectified the problem and made it work.
