This guitar tutorial will show you how to play Living On A Prayer by Bon Jovi on acoustic guitar (or is it Livin’ on a Prayer??).

It’s hard to believe this song was released over 30 years ago (1986 to be exact!) yet it still remains one of the great timeless singalong songs at any campfire or party.

Everyone young or old at least knows the chorus so it is a “must-have” song to have in your guitar playing repertoire if you want to have any street-cred as a party song guitar playing ninja!
In this easy tutorial you will see that this classic beginner song is simple to play and sounds fantastic on acoustic guitar.

🎸It has four fairly simple chords and a quick chord transition pattern through the chorus, so I would rate this song an intermediate level song to master, but a good song for beginner level guitarists to try out.
🎸The fours chords are all “open” chords (ie: not barre chords, or bar chords depending on which dictionary you prefer) making this an easy beginner lesson for the acoustic guitar.
