Shoreline Studio 101 - Why Only Blue Sky?

Blue skies are lovely and have their place. In this tutorial we produce a luminous sky with cadmium and naples yellow, with a touch of orange and white. We tape a copy of the photo in black and white underneath the plate in order to paint details. Using an inkjet photo copy we transfer the image by lightly wetting the paper, then proceed to add layers in acrylic paint: again wetting the paper and printing each section. We go over some troubleshooting to fix some issues as well, ending with a dramatic print without a blue sky.
