Pub Stopover | The Black Horse, Beamish | County Durham

Perched high looking across the Beamish valley is the Black Horse pub. This motorhome stopover - described as a glorious 37-acre sprawl with lavender field and woodland, riddled with wildlife and farmyard antiques, and home to the Black Horse Beamish restaurant.

Beamish Open Air Museum is a 2-minute drive from the Black Horse Beamish and provides the perfect day for the whole family. Visit the town, colliery, village, working farm, Pockerley manor and 1825 railway, recreating life in the North East in the early 1800's and 1900's.

Food is cooked fresh to order, and there is a wide variety of dishes to choose from. Free to stay if you book a table for food and drink and let them know you would overnight motorhome/ campervan parking:

On this occasion, I was also a solo female traveller but the staff were fab! I felt very safe in the car park overnight despite the very rural location.
