How To Make A Spacenet: Part 3 Setting It Up For The First Time

Hey Everybody! I've now made an intro video and a "How to buy materials" video about spacenets so here is part 3! This video goes over how to set your net up in the park in order to start weaving for the first time. The reason I made this video and didn't go straight to the weaving is because I encountered a big mistake here...

Here's what happened. I set my net up at my grandma's house and started weaving. It was going great!! When I went to set my net up again in a different park, I realized that I couldn't get tension on all of my pieces of paracord. I assumed that I just weaved wrong so I started over.. Well, i'm making these videos step by step so you avoid the mistakes that I made. Here are some general rules of thumb that you should follow when rigging your net to weave:

1) Set it up in the same spot every time with the same angles!
2) Use the same tension every single time! This one is tricky since tension will shift slightly as you weave but do your best to make sure you have similar tensions every session. It helps if you can leave it rigged or if you have a load cell dynamometer to track your tension.
3) Have fun and don't take the process too seriously! This is art! Enjoy the process :)

I've now made four spacenets with the most recent one having a 15m x 15m x 15m perimeter. This was huge! I made a few mistakes along the way and learned a lot of new things.
