The video begins by explaining the basic working of a diode (0:19).

• It is in reverse bias (non-conducting) when the P terminal is connected to the negative terminal and the N terminal to the positive terminal (0:56). In terms of logic, a P terminal with input '0' and N terminal with input '1' results in reverse bias (1:38).
The video then details the construction of the DL circuit for an OR gate:
• The number of diodes used equals the number of inputs (2:27). For an OR gate, the P terminal of each diode receives an input and is connected via a source resistance (2:48).
• The N terminals of all diodes are connected together and then linked to ground through a common resistance R, where the output is measured (3:02).
Finally, the video demonstrates how this DL circuit satisfies the truth table.
