In this Screen Gems outtake, former president Harry S. Truman discusses Senator Joseph McCarthy's misguided efforts to get communists out of government. He says the only communists ever found in the US government were found by the organization that Mr. Truman had set up for the purpose and it was only a fraction of 1% of workers. The real enemies are the communists abroad. The answer is to teach children about government so they know what they have, and what they have to do to keep it.
