In 1897, a small team of loggers ventured deep into the Louisiana Atchafalaya swamp to mark cypress trees for the timber mill. What was meant to be routine work quickly became a living nightmare. The swamp fell unnaturally silent. Strange footprints appeared in the mud. And after dark, something began circling their camp.
As the days passed, the men realized they were not alone. Whispers echoed from the trees, shadows moved beyond the firelight, and before they could escape, one logger vanished without a trace.
