High Speed DUI Crash Into Tree At McDonald's Drive-Thru, Gardena, CA

Three people are recovering after a violent crash in which their car flipped and landed upside down at a McDonald's drive-thru in Gardena.
It happened on Friday around 12:30 a.m. at the corner of Rosecrans and Vermont avenues. Video obtained by Eyewitness News shows a white vehicle on its roof just steps away from the restaurant.
The driver was rushed to the hospital with a broken leg, while the two passengers suffered only minor injuries.
Luckily, no one was inside the restaurant, and that palm tree was there to stop the car from ending up inside the structure.
Small Nos tanks, bolt cutters, and other questionable items were located in the wreckage.
How they survived remains a mystery.
