These global shifts are felt acutely in the Indo-Pacific, a region that is simultaneously an engine of global growth and a focus of geopolitical competition. From its position at the heart of Southeast Asia, Singapore offers a unique vantage point on these developments. As a small state, it must be resilient and adaptable in managing these significant uncertainties, and securing its national interests.
In this session, Senior Minister Lee Hsien Loong, Singapore’s prime minister between 2004 and 2024, will reflect on how small states like Singapore and the wider region can navigate the formidable challenges of our time.
