Day 7 of our 7-Day Alaska Off-Road Adventure brought the journey to an end, but not without some final challenges and fun finds. After a wet and soggy night, we decided it was time to head home, but first, we made the most of the morning!
The day started with wet gear and cool conditions—my swag tent was soaked, leaving my sleeping bag wet and my towel dripping by morning. After wringing things out and making breakfast, we decided to explore the nearby trails.
We discovered some fascinating old gold mining equipment, remnants of Alaska's mining history, before taking a short hike to check out a massive swing footbridge. This incredible structure crosses a wide river and is part of a trail leading to a nearby glacier.
With our tents still soaked and the weather not letting up, we decided to call it early and head home. It was a perfect conclusion to an unforgettable week of exploring Alaska’s rugged backcountry and stunning landscapes.
Highlights:
• Struggled with wet tents and gear after a rainy night
• Discovered old gold mining equipment on nearby trails
• Hiked to a massive swing footbridge over a river near the glacier
• Reflected on an incredible adventure as we made our way back home
Join us for this final chapter as we wrap up our epic 7-day off-road journey through Alaska!
🌲🗺️ As for most areas, I’m avoiding geotagging to help preserve these beautiful spots for everyone to enjoy and find organically on their own adventures. I’d appreciate it if we could avoid sharing or asking for exact locations in the comments. Thank you for understanding, I have a full story highlight of my thoughts on geotagging on my Instagram page. 🌲🗺️
