Speaker｜Lin Man-on (Book Collector)
The Universal Circulating Herald, founded on 4 February 1874, is the first Chinese newspaper backed and managed by Chinese individuals, and it was printed with Hong Kong Type. Hong Kong book collector Mr. Lin Man-on will guide the audience through a detailed exploration of one exhibit—the 18 March 1893 issue of the Universal Circulating Herald. He will discuss various events that took place in Hong Kong during that time.
