Monnal T60: How To Set Up The CO2 Measurement Option | S02E03

Monnal T60 is an emergency, critical care, portable ventilator for professional use.

This video tutorial is a quick user guide on how to set up the mainstream CO2 measurement option on the Monnal T60 ventilator, created by EO Medical in Singapore.

What is ETCO2?
ETCO2 is End-Tidal Carbon Dioxide. CO2 is a gas produced by the body and removed from the body during the exhalation of the lungs.
ETCO2 is measured in mmHg and is a useful value that is often trended to evaluate the ventilation status in a mechanically ventilated patient. In a patient undergoing CPR, ETCO2 can also indicate if chest compressions are effective as an index of cardiac output and ROSC.

Steps:
Connect the CO2 sensor to the dedicated CO2 connection port
Prepare a disposable airway adapter for the CO2 probe
Ensure the cylindrical edges of the probe and the adapter match before pressing it into position
When snapped correctly into position, a firm “click” will be heard
Next, calibrate the sensor by selecting “Menu”
Select “Sensors”
Select “CO2 sensor calibrat.”
Press the knob to begin calibration of the CO2 sensor
Ensure that only room air is exposed to the probe and adapter during the zero calibration process
A constant green LED light represents a successful calibration
A calibration success notification will also be displayed on the screen
After zero calibration is completed, connect the CO2 probe and adapter to the patient circuit, between the wye and patient HME filter
Ensure that the probe wire is running parallel to the wye
CO2 waveform and measured values can now be monitored from the ventilator
