Trelleborg - The largest RoRo port in Scandinavia!

A short video spot for the Port of Trelleborg. Scandinavia's largest RoRo port, trafficked by the world's largest train ferries. 800 000 logistics units are being moved through the port every year. Close to 10% of Sweden's imports and exports passes through Trelleborg.

The Port of Trelleborg is also trafficked by the high speed catamaran Skane Jet. In 1998 she conquered the Blue Ribbon Award for being the fastest vessel to cross the Atlantic, in two days and eighteen hours. Today the Catamaran Skane Jet crosses from Trelleborg to Sassnitz in two and a half hours. She is sailing under the flag of FRS Baltic.

Due to the newer and larger vessels needing a deeper harbour, the port has been relocated east wards to new deeper berths. The port can accommodate vessels up to 240 meters. The Port of Trelleborg connects to Travemünde, Rostock, Sassnitz, Swinoujscie and Klaipeda.

Relocating the port east wards, has made room for the city of Trelleborg to expand towards the waterfront. This is the largest city development project in the history of Trelleborg called "Kuststad 2025".
