Moods were certainly lifted at Alvas Showroom in San Pedro on Saturday night as "Mood Lifters – A Tribute to Rush" performed 21 songs from RUSH's epic catalog to a full house of aficionados. The "easter egg" of this show was the performance of all the songs from the 1981 "Moving Pictures" album, which were sprinkled throughout the setlist and out of sequence.

Making their debut at Alvas Showroom, Mood Lifters found a great venue for their precise, passionate recreation of Rush's sound. The theater's excellent acoustics, thoughtful lighting, and cozy seating (just under 100 capacity) created an up-close-and-personal atmosphere that made the music feel immersive and powerful.
