This year, my father and I fulfilled another dream – we set out on a spearfishing trip across the Balkans, from Albania to Montenegro. Crystal-clear water, stunning reefs, wild fish, and unforgettable moments beneath the surface.
During our dives, we managed to catch a beautiful vresca (brown meagre) and a local fish the people here casually call “kokota” (a traditional regional nickname for this species). But the best part came afterwards – a small beachfront restaurant in Himara grilled our fresh catch right on the spot. It doesn’t get any fresher than that!
