How to change the door speakers on a 2005 Peugeot 407.
Despite this being the executive model it came with what seems like a fairly meagre sound system. A 406 executive got an uprated JBL setup which was a good sounding system in its day, the speakers never had this issue on a 406.
Thankfully a set of pioneer speakers cost less than £100 to buy and the process is fairly DIY friendly. A set of new door clips is handy to have as some will inevitably break.
A new head-unit and amplifier might be the way to go for some bass heavy beats, however the design of the 407 dash with the climate control system being integrated into the infotainment system limits available choices to cheap tat from alibaba which reading through forums and owners clubs seems to be prone to a sleuth of irritating niggly issues.
