All year I've heard about the Panama City Beach renourishment project and when it kicked in this fall I was excited to see what was going on. If you're not aware of what takes place during beach renourishment, it's like this: an offshore barge pumps sand onto the beach and with that sand comes shells. After lots of talk about the hauling off of shells to a landfill, the dredge company suddenly starts dumping shells on the beach and fortunately a friend messages me to let me know that this is taking place. So I decide to pack up and head over just as it is getting dark. Watch all the way through because when you have amazing shelling you never know what you'll pick out of all those shells.

Some shell once-a-year on their vacation and well, I'm obsessed; I shell whenever I can. Living near the beach affords me the opportunity to go shelling several times per week. If the conditions are good I'll shell everyday and my record is 21 days straight and when I have the chance, road trip shelling is a must. In this video we take another road trip for some awesome Panama City Beach shelling.
