Pre-match press conference with Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca ahead of Chelsea v Everton at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League.

Maresca provides a fitness update on Cole Palmer ahead of tomorrow, confirming he is feeling better and will be assessed again after one more session. He says the eye injury picked up in midweek is fine and the player is available. Maresca also gives a timescale update on Liam Delap’s latest setback, saying they still do not know exactly how long he will be out but it could be two, three or four weeks.

The Chelsea boss reflects on being named Premier League manager of the month for November and admits December has not started as the team wanted after recent dropped points. He insists he is relaxed about the bigger picture, points to mistakes that must be improved including conceding with seven defenders against one attacker in the box, and stresses how important consistency will be across the season.

Maresca also praises Josh Acheampong, says he will be a big player for the club, and calls on Stamford Bridge to be fully behind the team from the first whistle tomorrow.
