I'm the unsung hero of the digital content machine: The Description Writer. Everyone’s eyes glaze over our work, scrolling in haste to click on the links below, or jump straight into the comments to argue over Optimus Prime's financial situation. And yet, here I am, dear reader, pouring my heart out into a box so small it may as well be a post-it note on the fridge.

Doing this feels like a Transformers movie in its own right. I'm Bumblebee, left behind while the Autobots—aka PaperPlane and his pals—are off on some epic adventure. Except instead of battling Decepticons, I'm battling my own intrusive thoughts telling me to kidnap PaperPlane when his guard is down and hold him for ransom. Instead of energon, my fuel is the Prime Energy PaperPlane occasionally lets me drink.

Maybe, just like humans in Transformers, YouTubers need people to write their video descriptions to keep the gears turning. Maybe my lonely keystrokes are as vital to the cause as a Sam Witwicky screaming match. Either way, pour one out for me, the unseen, unpaid, metaphorical cog in this vast digital Autobot assembly line. I'll be fighting the good fight, even if no one notices I'm here.
