How To Field Strip & Reassemble an Arcus 94 Browning Hi-Power (BHP) Clone Or Any Other Type of BHP

How to Field Strip (Disassemble) and Reassemble and Arcus 94 Browning Hi-Power (BHP) Clone or Any Other Type of Browning Hi-Power (Whether it is the original BHP or another BHP Clone)

This video is a follow-up video to my original video review of my Arcus 94 KA-MK III Hi-Power (Bulgarian Hi-Power Clone) on YouTube entitled, "Arcus 94 KA-MK III Hi Power, Cal. 9 mm Luger Pistol Review, An FN / Browning Hi-Power (BHP) Clone" (at:    • Arcus 94 KA-MK III Hi Power, Cal. 9 mm Lug...  ), where I said that I would produce a separate follow-up video on how to field strip and reassemble it. In this follow-up video, I go through all of the steps to demonstrate how to field strip my Arcus 94. The steps involved in order to field strip this pistol in this video are applicable to an original Browning Hi-Power or other popular BHP clones such as the Argentinian FM Rosario (particularly the FM-90 or FM-95), Hungarian FEG PJK-9HP, Israeli Kareen, etc.

Steps To Field Stripping (Disassembling) an Arcus 94 Hi-Power, Browning Hi-Power, or Other BHP Clone (Such as the Argentinian FM Rosario FM-90 / FM-95, Hungarian FEG PJK-9HP, Israeli Kareen, Etc.):

1. Remove magazine and perform a safety check on pistol to verify that it is not loaded and that the magazine is empty and that the chamber is empty. Be sure to perform this step thoroughly. Remember, safety is always first.

2. With the magazine removed, pull slide back until the slide is held open by the slide stop.

3. While the slide is being held open by the slide stop, pull the slide further back until the second notch on the slide (towards the middle of the slide) lines up with the safety lever.

4. Engage the safety lever by flipping the lever upwards so that it engages it into this second notch on the slide.

5. Remove the slide stop by pressing it out from the opposite side of the pistol. It should be removable by pressing it out by hand. If not, use a flat head screwdriver or a coin to press it out.

6. Simultaneously grasp the slide firmly and release the safety lever.

7. Guide the slide out of the frame of the pistol. The slide should now be separated from the frame of the pistol.

8. Remove recoil spring from inside the slide assembly.

9. Remove the barrel from inside the slide assembly.

10. Reassembly is the reverse of the field strip (dis-assembly) steps. Please watch video on the steps and for the details to reassembly of this pistol.


The Arcus 94 KA-MK III Hi-Power, Cal. 9 mm Luger (AKA 9 mm X 19 mm, 9 mm Parabellum) is a clone of the original FN / Browning Hi-Power Mk. III (BHP). The main difference between the Arcus 94 KA-MK III Hi Power and the original FN / BHP Mk. III is that the Arcus 94 is an overbuilt clone of it (in the sense that it is heavier, made to be more robust with a thicker, "blockier", and heavier slide that is reminiscent of the slide on a Sig Sauer pistol, although there is no resemblance or relation to one). This pistol is made by a Bulgarian company, Arcus (Company website: http://www.arcus-bg.com). It imported into the USA and sold in the USA by Century International Arms, Inc. (Company website: http://www.centuryarms.com).
