Reggie Fountain

Reggie Fountain Jr., born in 1940 in Tarboro, North Carolina, is a legendary figure in the boating industry, renowned for founding Fountain Powerboats in 1979. A former champion tunnel-boat racer with over 100 wins in 200 races, including Formula One World Championships in 1976 and 1977, Fountain transitioned into building high-performance offshore boats that became iconic for their speed and durability. His company, based in Washington, N.C., sold over $1.5 billion in boats, with more than 10,000 on the water.
