Hey, guys. I'm on my phone right now so ignore any mistakes in the formatting and I'm also typing this out in a bit of a rush so there might be some typos. Ignore those as well, please.

So, I (29F) have been married to my husband (32M) for three years now. I'm not particularly close to my family but my husband has always been very close to his. His family consists of only his mother and his older sister since his father had never been in the picture and neither has he ever met the man. My sister-in-law (35F) lost her husband to a heart attack a few months back and we were all really sorry for her since they'd only been married for a year. I had a good relationship with both of them earlier, we were civil to each other. But after her husband's death, things changed. Initially, my sister-in-law would occasionally ask me to run some errands for her because she claimed she was feeling too depressed to do anything and I'd agree gladly because I wanted to help her out while she was in mourning. And besides, they were only small errands at the time like buying her groceries or doing her laundry for her. Easy household chores which I was ready to do without much of a fuss. Sometimes I'd be too busy with my own work and I'd feel compelled to decline but then my mother-in-law would call me immediately afterward and emotionally manipulate me into doing what was asked of me by reminding me that my sister-in-law was a grieving widow and I needed to show her some kindness and compassion. So I'd do that and end up doing the chores that she asked me to do even if I myself was dog tired from my own day.
