After her haul out, installation of Kiwiprops feathering propellers and her huge solar upgrade our Leopard 45 Catamaran is ready to go sailing again.
I left Port Nikau Marina, Whangārei, New Zealand on Friday afternoon and headed down Whangārei Harbour to anchor in The Nook, Parua Bay.
Saturday I headed off for a sail down Harbour and out in to the ocean. The Guano Rock Race fleet passed by. WAKAWAKA sailed well and it is great not to be dragging the fixed propellers anymore.
Back into the harbour and anchored in Munro Bay for the night.
The new solar array is producing a large amount of power and generator is not now routinely required. The Kiwiprops have improved both motoring and sailing.
