Sooo good people!
Again using my small sample of music tracks I've done some listening to streamed music from the PC, to the DAC, then analogue in to the AVR550, but this time in the "stereo direct" mode. This mode cleans the signal path through the amplifier, eledgedly without any processing being made to the signal.
I don't know if you've noticed that I had the bass port restricted on earlier samples. Now the bass blurr is gone and I can play without any flow restriction and at higher levels. More clarity and detail still with deep bass :-)
The Arcam AVR550 has Dirac Live embedded so the next post will be after a Dirac correction...
