Jennifer Tee is a Dutch artist whose poetic installations explore transformation, memory, and the unseen forces connecting people, places and beliefs. For Folkestone Triennial 2025: How Lies the Land?, she presents Oceans Tree of Life—a sculptural tribute to kelp forests, made from hand-formed, sea-glass-infused bricks echoing underwater movement and marine life. Drawing inspiration from Rachel Carson’s The Edge of the Sea, Tee links ancient fossils to fragile ecologies. Her wider practice spans sculpture, textile and collage, often exploring hybridity and cultural exchange through layered materials and symbolic forms. She lives and works in Amsterdam.
