Why We Chose Cochlear Implants, Early Implantation, & Cochlear Americas (+ a special announcement!)

This is probably my most requested YouTube video about being a hearing parent of a Deaf child. #cochlearpartner In this video, I discuss what cochlear implants are & why we chose cochlear implants (and Cochlear Americas sound processors) for our daughter. I am also excited to partner with Cochlear Americas to announce that the FDA has approved cochlear implants as an established treatment for children with bilateral profound hearing loss as young as 9 months old! (Prior to the announcement it was approved for 12 months and older.) Such rich language development occurs in these infant months and I am so happy families have this option. As always, I completely understand your decisions and opinions may differ from mine. I know there are many language modalities and options to consider when you find out your child is deaf.
