Ingredients;
-40 big or 80 small grape leaves
-450gr ground beef
-1 chopped onion
-1 cup of rice (uncooked)
-half a bunch of parsley
-1 tbsp dried mint
-1 tsp salt
For the sauce
-1 tbsp hot pepper paste
-4 tbsp tomato paste
-120gr melted butter
Stuffed Grape Leaves Dolma – Cooking Tips
-Use tender grape leaves for easier rolling and better texture.
-If using jarred leaves, rinse well to remove excess salt.
-Do not overfill the leaves; the rice will expand while cooking.
-Roll the dolma snug but not tight so they don’t burst.
-Place a few grape leaves or a plate on top while cooking to keep them from opening.
-Add enough liquid to just cover the dolma for even cooking.
-Cook on low heat for a soft texture and rich flavor.
-Let the dolma rest 10–15 minutes after cooking before serving for best taste.
