Filmed the evening of July 19th 2025. Don't let summer heat keep you from enjoying the water. The dog days of summer are a challenging time, however The turbulence created by the massive turbines in the gut of Wilson Dam provides life sustaining oxygen in the water. During times of high generation finding the right zone where the structure and flow allow fish to set up in ambush mode can be critical. This summer I spent a few afternoons in the area I have affectionately labeled "Gar Alley" . In the mornings during low generation the gar seem to love chilling out in this area. In the evenings when the current is a little stronger the Smallmouth and Salts ease over and take advantage of the bait being pushed to them. Tight Lines Ya'll!
