The Grotto & Halfway Log Dump | Glamping near Tobermory Ontario | A weekend trip from Toronto

Are you looking to do something different in Tobermory other than the Tobermory cruise? then this is a perfect plan for a day trip from Toronto to Tobermory

We drove from Toronto on Saturday morning and reached Grotto by 12:00 pm. The place was packed and you do need reservation in advance from Parks Canada’s Website. The hike to the Grotto is about 35 minutes from the parking so be prepared for that. We spent 4 hours here.

In the evening we checked into the place where we stayed. We tried glamping on a farm in Hepworth. The place was beautiful. It was close to nature but at the same time had some modern facilities. We enjoyed our evening there, had some bbq, petted the farm animals, sat by the fire.

Sunday morning we left early to visit the Halfway Log Dump. This place is right beside the grotto and shares the same waters of Georgian Bay. Surprisingly this place was extremely beautiful. The hike from the parking was just 15 minutes. The place was much more accessible and had way fewer people. We did bouldering here and enjoyed the views from the top. We also swam in the Crystal clear water.
