I watched D.P. on Netflix and I couldn't help but feel so horrified and amazed that this kind of plot was portrayed so crudely and well.
Deserters sometimes run from the military because of an even worse situation they are in. Watching I found myself consumed by the thought that Shin Seungho's character out of the military environment wasn't at all abusing of his position (because he wasn't anything at all outside) and realising he isn't actually the sociopath, instead his character makes sociopaths through inflicting torture. These are the so called evil in every day society. The thought especially pained me because in the end his character will go on while his victim initiated a chain of hate and death because of him.
