In this video I remove the squeaky seat sliders and replace them with a warranty set sent to me from Sparco. While this video is about removing seat sliders, I briefly cover how to install an aftermarket bucket seat in the VA WRX/STi chassis.
To keep the SRS light from coming on, you will need a 3.3 ohm resistor. I also suggest using a rear seat belt receiver for the front seats. The rear seat belt receivers are on nylon straps, that provide additional angle adjustment. The stock front receives are on metal brackets, and generally are too long. You can reuse the stock front receivers with a dummy seat belt clip to let the car know you have your seat belt buckled.
Passenger seats will also require the occupancy sensor to be transfer to the bucket seat. The sensor is found on the base foam of the passenger seat. Be very careful when removing the sensor, it is very easy to damage. You can also try to purchase the base seat from a vendor on ebay and avoid messing with your stock seats.
