American DR330

This time we're looking at a mic that NEEDS an introduction, since its not very well known or seen. American Microphone Company or AMC was founded almost 100 years ago. Its name lives on in the many mics that still trade hands amongst collectors and studios, but are becoming harder to find and more expensive. The DR330 was a technilogically advanced mic that used patents from Western Electric to get a directional pattern from two capsules in the head basket being used at the same time. Let's take a look and listen to this odd, almost 75 year old mic and dive into the history of a company there isn't much information on.
