Cannibal Corpse – Hammer Smashed Face (Live 1993) with fully restored, mixed, and mastered audio.

This is a fan-made audio restoration of Cannibal Corpse’s 1993 Eats Moscow Alive performance, created to give fans a high-quality live version from the band’s early era — something that’s been largely missing online.

The original live recordings available suffer from thin, click-heavy audio. This project rebuilds the sound from the ground up to preserve the raw brutality of the performance while making it enjoyable to listen to.

🔊 HOW THE AUDIO WAS RESTORED

Original audio was mono, split into stereo with subtle delay for width. EQ, compression, de-essing, and noise reduction applied. AI vocal isolation used to properly mix Chris Barnes’ vocals. Drums and bass rebuilt using Tomb of the Mutilated recordings and manually time-aligned to the live performance. Bass mixed to retain Alex Webster’s distinctive tone, while reinforcing the low end. Minor performance imperfections intentionally preserved to maintain authenticity

🎛️MASTERING DETAILS

Mastered using iZotope Ozone with the following chain:
EQ → Reverb → Dynamics → Stereo Imaging → EQ → Maximiser

Mastering targets:

Integrated LUFS: -8.0
Short-term LUFS: -4.5
True Peak: -0.0 dBTP
Peak: -0.1 dB

A subtle room reverb was applied to help glue the mix and retain a live feel.
