"A Prayer for Black Farmers," poem read by its author, Cheryl Wood Smith

The 2022 Black Farming Conference was kicked off with a moving poem, "A Prayer for Black Farmers," read by its author, BFC Committee Member and Agraria Board Member Cheryl Wood Smith.

Cheryl Wood Smith is a registered nurse and chemical dependency counselor. She has been a community activist for five decades and recently evolved to advocacy for food sovereignty and environmental justice. She resides in Yellow Springs, Ohio.
