🔥 Restoring a Rare French Eclat G23 Lighter (1926) | Full Antique Restoration with Gold Plating

In this video, I restore a rare French Eclat G23 lighter from 1926. I found this antique at an online auction — its elegant Art Deco design and rarity made it irresistible. But it was missing a crucial part: the wick cap. With experience restoring similar vintage lighters, I took on the full restoration — from disassembly to final gold plating.

🔧 Restoration Timeline:
00:00 – Damage assessment and inspection
00:33 – Disassembly and cleaning
05:55 – Electrolytic removal of old nickel plating
06:45 – Repairing, grinding, and polishing parts
13:15 – Fabricating the missing wick cap
14:33 – Copper plating and nickel plating
16:07 – Gold plating by hand
16:48 – Reassembly
17:29 – Final reveal

Now, this 99-year-old lighter has been completely restored, preserving its history and elevating its appearance with a modern gold finish.
